My Position on Local Issues
Gardner Sludge Landfill

The current plan by The Gardner City Leadership to expand the sludge landfill is inadequate, ill-advised, and dangerous. By allowing the creation of the sludge landfill, the city leaders are endangering our citizens and the water supply of East Templeton. This weak solution the city has accepted will only last 17 years with no plan beyond that. It is unreasonable to subject the people of Gardner and East Templeton to a weak, foolish solution that risks the health and welfare of the people that live and depend on the water source that this area provides. There are better solutions. I will work with city leadership to find better alternatives to protect the health and welfare of the residents directly affected by the sludge landfill. Illegal Immigration and it's effect on our community
Gardner for many decades was an economic powerhouse. Since the deindustrialization of our beloved Chair City, politicians have ignored the needs of local business and allowed the state government to impose their will on our city. Zlotnik has voted in favor of Gardner being a sanctuary city even though we don't have the resources to sustain undocumented people. We have laws to ensure the safety of our citizens but also the safety of those who would want to make Gardner their home. I welcome immigrants to our district but only if they follow OUR laws and do it correctly. It benefits them as much as it does us-we cannot manage something that is forced on us.
At this time, even our leftist governor has said, "Enough!" After millions of taxpayer dollars are spend on people who are here illegally, businesses are overburdened, social programs are maxxed out and the citizens are frustrated by the lack of services. We don't have the resources to maintain our community, businesses and industry is suffering because the undocumented people don't have the proper skills, or if they do, there is no way to confirm those skills. Myself, along with other conservatives and like minded lawmakers will work to find a way to mitigate this problem.

Illegal Immigration and it's effect on our schools
People have come to me and said, "My child is not getting the education that they had before the illegal immigrants came. They ran out of food because the schools are still working with an already meager budget". We cannot let Beacon Hill dictate how we run our towns. While we feel for those children, the current system cannot sustain the financial extra burden. We must work to stop the influx of illegal immigrants into the US, Massachusetts and our district.
